Providence has offered 2019 five-star point guard Jalen Lecque.

Lecque, who visited Villanova on Thursday, reeled in the offer per recruiting analyst Pat Lawless.

Although his composite ranking isn’t listed, Lecque is ranked as a five-star point guard on 247Sports’ standalone service. He also rates as the top player in the state of North Carolina, as the Arden native rates higher than small forward Wendell Moore of Concord, small forward Joey Baker of Fayetteville, small forward Marcus Watson of Clemmons and shooting guard Damian Dunn, who comprise the Top 5 at the moment.

Jalen is listed at 6-foot-4 and 175 lbs. at the moment as he enters his junior season. He currently has offers from a variety of schools - 23 to be exact - including Big East reps Seton Hall and St. John’s.

He originally hails from The Bronx and is likely to reclassify to 2018.
