Watts was a busy man on Thursday, fielding offers from the TCU Horned Frogs, Michigan Wolverines as well. One look at his player page on 247Sports, and it’s easy to see why. Watts is a Top 5 player in the state of Michigan, ranking third for 2019 as of now, behind the likes of five-star shooting guard Terry Armstrong of Flint and four-star small forward Romeo Weems of New Haven.
Watts ranks 152nd overall in the class of 2019 and 33rd among point guards for the moment.
As of now, 13 D1 schools have sent Watts offers. The previous three, as well as the Michigan State Spartans, Mississippi State Bulldogs and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are in pursuit, as are the Marquette Golden Eagles of the Big East, the Missouri Tigers, Oakland Golden Grizzlies, Iowa Hawkeyes, Cincinnati Bearcats, Detroit Titans and Alabama Crimson Tide.
Hey, the last Motor City point guard worked alright for Xavier, right?
