A.J. Reeves, a four-star shooting guard in the class of 2018, cut down his list of schools on Wednesday night and included the Providence Friars and Villanova Wildcats in his final four.
I'm grateful to all the schools that have recruited me but I have narrowed it down to my final 4. I'm truly blessed to be in this position. pic.twitter.com/9HU4zxn16g

Alongside Nova and the Friars are the Virginia Cavaliers and Louisville Cardinals of the ACC.
There is likely going to be a shift now in Reeves’ Crystal Ball as it had been led by the Connecticut Huskies. UConn, however, did not make the cut for the Chestnut Hill native, so we will have to see this be done all over again. Granted, a pick hadn’t been made since January, but some course correction will need to be done.
For whatever it’s worth, Providence was that pick, as Andrew Slater tabbed the Friars as Reeves’ school of choice.
Reeves is listed as the top player in the state of Massachusetts for 2018. He’s ahead of such players like David Duke, Cormac Ryan, Nate Laszewski and Arashma Parks. He ranks 14th among shooting guards and in the Top 100 of recruits nationally, checking in at 73rd overall per 247Sports Composite.
