One of the best players in the class of 2018 has cut the Providence Friars from his list of schools.

On March 20, Evan Daniels of Scout and Fox Sports tweeted that the Friars were in Quickley’s top seven.
Immanuel Quickley is down to Kentucky, Kansas, Duke, Miami, Maryland, Virginia & Providence. Washington is out with the coaching stage.

This probably isn’t the worst thing to happen for Providence. Not getting a five-star player is bad on the surface, but the Friars were likely a longshot anyway. Not to mention, with Maliek White having three more years of eligibility and Makai Ashton-Langford flipping from UConn, the Friars are crowded at point guard for the foreseeable future.
As it stands, Providence remains with five open scholarships for 2018-19.
