Offers

David Duke: The talented 2018 guard picked up an offer from ‘Nova back on May 7. Indications as of now have him gravitating toward the Providence Friars (at least per the three predictions made on his Crystal Ball - /!\/!\/!\ Small Sample Size Alert /!\/!\/!\), but the Friars and Wildcats are just two of many high-major programs in on him. Kansas, UConn, Creighton among others are in pursuit of the Cushing Academy guard, so time will tell to see if ‘Nova can win the race.

Jalen Green: Back on May 1, ‘Nova really looked towards the future when they offered Green. He’s a 2020 guard, so we’re about three years away from even seeing him suit up for a college team. At 15, he’s already made plenty of waves, fielding offers from Arizona, Creighton, USC and San Diego State among others.

Armando Bacot: The 2019 power forward fielded an offer from the Wildcats on April 25. Bacot’s recruitment is wide open as you might expect, and the sixth-best player in Virginia for 2019 has plenty of schools from the area chasing him, including Georgetown as well as Clemson.Florida State, Baylor and Cal are also in the mix as well as a few more Big East schools in Providence and St. John’s. He, like Green, will be one to watch for way down the road.

Other News

Jahvon Quinerly, Cameron Reddish and Cole Swider all recently cut down their lists. And all of them wound up having Villanova among their group of schools. Reddish, as it’s been said on this site and around the basketball recruiting world, is one of the best players in his class and Quinerly is not too far behind. Swider, unlike Quinerly and Reddish, is a three-star but remains no slouch. We’ll see how things play out with this trio, but don’t expect any sign of a commitment lately for any of them as there is still plenty of time left.

What’s the story?

All seems to be a bit quiet on the homefront. Right now, ‘Nova is gearing up to bring in a talented recruiting class. While it’s one that will seat them fourth in the Big East, they will have the ‘boost’ of having Omari Spellman be a pseudo-newcomer as well. 2018 and beyond remains a bit of a mystery, as plenty of the pieces of the puzzle still need to be figured out. For now, we can only say that ‘Nova is in on some very talented players but still have yet to land anyone for the 2018 class.
