Jordan Walker has committed to Seton Hall!

Jeremy Schneider of NJ Advance Media was first to report that the Patrick School guard from New York has committed to the Pirates, giving Seton Hall four players in their 2017 class. Walker joins the likes of Myles Cale, Darnell Brodie and Sandro Mamukelashvili as incoming freshmen who will join a pretty vaunted Seton Hall team that will be aiming to make the NCAA Tournament for three consecutive years.

Seton Hall had been the favorite for Walker, earning a 100 percent mark on 247Sports’ Crystal Ball up until Monday’s announcement. Oklahoma and Cal among others had given him chase, but in the end, it’s Willard and the Pirates who’ve won out.

Jordan is the fourth-best player in the state of New Jersey according to 247Sports’ rankings. Fellow Hall commit Myles Cale ranks first with Miami-Flori Hurricanes commit Deng Gak checking in at No. 2 and Temple Owls commit Nate Pierre-Louis standing at No. 3.

This likely takes Seton Hall out of the running for Trevon Duval, the top-ranked point guard in the country, who had the Pirates among his finalists.

Nonetheless, this is a quality pickup for the Willard and the Pirates as they look to embark on more success in the 2017-18 season and beyond. Welcome Jordan Walker to Seton Hall!
