Josh Hart wins Julius Erving Award

Hart was named the nation’s best small forward on Friday night in Los Angeles.

Villanova forward and Big East Player of the Year Josh Hart was named the winner of the 2016-17 Julius Erving Award on Friday evening at the Hoophall Awards.

The Julius Erving Award has been given to the nation’s best small forward since 2014-15. Hart joins Arizona’s Stanley Johnson and Michigan State’s Denzel Valentine as the award’s winners.

Hart averaged 18.7 points and 6.4 rebounds per game this season.
