Creighton Bluejays big man Justin Patton is the 2017 Big East Freshman of the Year!

Patton beat out Shamorie Ponds and Marcus LoVett of the St. John’s Red Storm and Kamar Baldwin of the Butler Bulldogs among others to win the award. Markus Howard and Sam Hauser of Marquette, Donte DiVincenzo of Villanova and Myles Powell of Seton Hall also made their case, but in the end it’s Patton who takes home the award.

Justin is the first Creighton Bluejay to win Freshman of the Year since their arrival to the Big East Conference in the 2013-14 season.

Congrats to Justin Patton on winning the Freshman of the Year award!
