Gamblin’ Info

Butler is a 12-point favorite over Winthrop, according to OddsShark.com.

The Stakes

Butler really can’t lose. They just can’t. It would be sad and depressing, and we already lost Providence last night.

Keys to the Game

1. Kelan Martin needs to show up

He has to be here and produce 20+ points this afternoon. If Martin is not ready to play, then the team will ultimately suffer overall. Chrabascz, Kethan Savage and Kamar Baldwin will need to all work together for the good of the team of Martin is underperforming.

2. Contain Keon Johnson

This guy on Winthrop is GOOD. He’s currently 10th in the NCAA among all active scorers. And he’s listed at 5’7’’ but he’s probably really only 5 and a half feet tall. He’s also 12th in free throws made and 15th in three-point field goals among active scorers as well. He’s currently averaging 22.5 ppg and is 86 percent from the free throw line and over 40 percent from three.
