A trio of top-tier Big East players are in contention.

NCAA Basketball: Villanova at Creighton Steven Branscombe-USA TODAY Sports

The 2017 Naismith Award Top 30 list was revealed to the world on Thursday afternoon. Among the 30 players present on the list, three of them are from your favorite conference’s favorite conference. Villanova Wildcats stars Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart as well as Creighton Bluejays star Marcus Foster are among those in contention for the prestigious award.

Brunson and Hart have been one of the best 1-2 punches in the Big East and the nation as well. Hart himself has been getting plenty of National Player of the Year buzz and stands as the frontrunner for his conference’s Player of the Year award as well. Brunson meanwhile has had an outstanding sophomore season, taking leaps in various statistical categories and has been a driving force for the Wildcats’ legion of successes this year.

Foster on the other hand has been playing extremely well in his first full season with the Bluejays. After transferring from Kansas State and sitting out last year due to NCAA rules, he has contributed lots and has been a major key to Creighton’s success this season too.

The full list, which includes Malik Monk of the Kentucky Wildcats, Dillon Brooks of the Oregon Ducks, Lonzo Ball of the UCLA Bruins, Caleb Swanigan of the Purdue Boilermakers and Frank Mason III of the Kansas Jayhawks can be found below.
