Bovada revealed its latest futures for the NCAA’s Men’s Basketball National Player of the Year award on Wednesday afternoon and Villanova Wildcats star Josh Hart is near the top of the board.
Hart finds himself with 4/1 odds to win the award as the below table shows. Despite playing extraordinarily well and getting plenty of NPOY buzz, Kansas Jayhawks guard Frank Mason III is currently the favorite at 5/2.
The ‘Nova star isn’t the only player from the Big East Conference to be featured in the latest cast of futures. Xavier Musketeers forward Trevon Bluiett and Butler Bulldogs forward Kelan Martin are also on the board at 18/1 and 33/1 respectively. Bluiett has been giving Hart chase of late with a couple of terrific performances, so it comes as no surprise that he’s getting more buzz. Martin meanwhile has had his fair share of struggles, so it isn’t all that surprising that he’s the last player listed on the board as of now.
Other players who are currently in contention include UCLA Bruins guard Lonzo Ball, Duke Blue Devils forward Luke Kennard, Wisconsin Badgers center Ethan Happ and Purdue Boilermakers forward Caleb Swanigan.
