The Villanova Wildcats lost a first place vote from last week, but until Gonzaga loses, ‘Nova’s not getting the top spot back, anyway. The Wildcats took care of business against Georgetown and Xavier last week.

After hammering DePaul in their lone game of the week, the Creighton Bluejays hopped up three spots to #20. The Bluejays have two big tests this week, as they head to Newark to face Seton Hall Wednesday before welcoming Georgetown to Omaha on Saturday.

Rounding out the Big East’s presence in the poll are the Butler Bulldogs. A 1-1 week on the road saw Butler slip two spots to #24. They’ll look to get back on track against St. John’s and DePaul this week.

The Xavier Musketeers dropped out of the poll after a loss to Villanova on Saturday. They’re currently #27, as they’re second amongst the other teams receiving votes.
