The Georgetown men’s basketball team (7-0, Big East) will host MEAC-leading North Carolina A&T (5-3, MEAC) on Saturday afternoon at the Capital One Arena. The Hoyas, who are fresh off an 81-67 victory over Howard (1-9, MEAC), are just one of eight remaining unbeaten teams in college basketball, and can match their best start to a season since 2007-08 with a win over the Aggies.

Jessie Govan lead the Hoyas on Thursday evening with a dominant 24 points and 16 rebounds. Marcus Derrickson and Kaleb Johnson provided strong offensive performances as well, recording 16 points, nine rebounds and four assists and 18 points, eight rebounds and four assists, respectively. Despite this offensive production, the Hoyas suffered on the defensive end, allowing an undersized Howard team to cut an 18-point second half deficit to just five points.

North Carolina A&T enters the game riding a two-game losing streak, but has had a full week to prepare for Saturday’s game. The Aggies are led by Femi Olujobi, who averages 25.1 points and 9.4 rebounds per game. Aaren Edmead and Devonte Boykins provide double digit scoring for an Aggies team that shoots just 30 percent from deep.

Should the Hoyas beat the Aggies, they would enter next Saturday’s contest against archrival Syracuse (7-1, ACC) with an undefeated record.
