The door is open for the Villanova Wildcats.

After a crazy week in college basketball, the 'Cats have an opportunity to climb to the top of the AP Poll for the first time this season.

All they have to do is take down Philadelphia foe: The La Salle Explorers. La Salle currently sits at 2-1 in Big 5 play with wins against Pennsylvania (75-71 2OT) and Temple (87-83) and took their only loss at the hands of Drexel (72-70).

Villanova looks to win yet another Big 5 games as they have won their first two games in city action (vs. Penn and St. Joe's). A win on Sunday all but clinches the Wildcats' fifth straight Big 5 Title.

Villanova will look to carry momentum from their convincing win at Madison Square Garden over the Gonzaga Bulldogs Tuesday night. Villanova is also hoping to get close to the same production from Mikal Bridges (Career high 28 points) and Phil Booth (20 Points).

If La Salle wants to pull off a miraculous upset, they will need senior B.J. Johnson (21.5 PPG, 9.4 RPG) and junior Pookie Powell (15.7 PPG) to lead an Explorer team looking to break over .500.

This should be a walk in the park for the Wildcats. But then again, a Big 5 upset would be the cherry on top of an already hectic week in college basketball.
