It seems that over the past two years, people are saying "No game against the Big East is a cakewalk".

That was certainly the case tonight.

After shooting only shooting 25% last night against a Miles Bridges-less Michigan State, the Blue Demons stepped up their shooting to keep pace with the Ducks.

But it's safe to say Oregon Ducks sophomore Payton Pritchard will be in the DePaul Blue Demons’ nightmares for a little while.

Pritchard hit seven of his 13 3-point attempts to go along with his career high 29 points to lead the Ducks in overtime over the Blue Demons 89-79 in the loser's bracket of the PK80 tournament.

The game was close throughout as Oregon took a one point lead into the locker room at halftime at 36-35. DePaul responded by back to back three pointers by junior Max Strus to open up a 41-36 lead, resulting in an Oregon timeout 55 seconds into the half.

The Ducks would trail until a Pritchard three took back the lead at 56-55 with 9:23 remaining. The game would go back and forth and need an extra five minutes to decide the winner, tied at 75. From there, it was all Ducks as it was once again Pritchard giving Oregon an 82-79 lead with 2:23 remaining. The Blue Demons were unable to put another point on the board.

DePaul had four players in double figures, led by senior Marin Maric who scored 22 points and grabbed 4 rebounds.

DePaul, who falls to 1-4 looks to snap their three game losing streak as they conclude play in Portland as they take on the University of Portland in the 7th place game in the Victory Bracket.
