So far, so good for the Johnnies in the third year of the Chris Mullin project.

After easy wins against New Orleans and Central Connecticut State along with a convincing win against the Nebraska Cornhuskers in the Gavitt Games, the St. John's Red Storm take on arguably their easiest opponent of their entire season... the Molloy Lions. Molloy College, a Division 2 program based out of Long Island, New York ,comes into their matchup against St. John's with a record of 1-3 after a 76-65 loss to Dominican College on Saturday.

They will take on a Red Storm team who has a more defensive identity this season, averaging nine steals and five blocks per game through their first three contests. If the Lions want to make it a close game (or just not a laughable one), they will look to their Junior guard Curtis Jenkins (17.8 points per game and 6.8 rebounds per game) to give them significant production.

For St. John's, they can use this game to give their guards Shamorie Ponds (34MPG), Marcus LoVett (33 MPG) and Justin Simon (32 MPG) some extended rest before they head down to Orlando to play in the AdvoCare Invitational. This may be a game where you will see players such as Kassoum Yakwe (13.7 MPG) and Amar Alibegovic (3.7 MPG) get much more run on the court in what is likely to be a blowout win for St. John's.
