Probably not. But they’re in DC Tuesday night to face the Patrick Ewing led Hoyas!

Georgetown’s nonconference tour of mid-majors continues!
Look, we talked about the nonconference schedule being bad all summer. It’s bad. That’s nothing new. If Jessie Govan is gonna go for 20 & 15, I don’t really care that it’s bad, that’s fun to watch. Same with Marcus Derrickson starting to come together as a well-rounded player. They’ve been highly-touted since they arrived on campus, and being in a normal offense should work wonders for them.
The Mount is actually one of the better teams Georgetown will see before Big East play, if only because Junior Robinson is a beast. At 5’5”, he’s one of the smallest players in the country, but he’s darn fun to watch. He’s leading The Mount in scoring so far this year at 17 points per game, against good teams no less (Marquette and Notre Dame). He’s going to score against Georgetown. The problem for the Mountaineers is that, well, no one else will. They lost their other two leading scorers from last year, Elijah Mitrou-Long and Miles Wilson, are gone. Their two leading rebounders, Chris Wray and Mitrou-Long? Gone. So, yes, the team that gave Villanova a bit of a scare in the first half of the NCAA Tournament First Round last year has been a bit depleted.
Prediction: Georgetown 80, Mount Saint Mary’s 65
