Preview
After knocking off Kennesaw State with relative ease on Friday night, the Bulldogs are back at it at Hinkle Fieldhouse welcoming one of the Ivy League’s best, Princeton.
Kelan Martin led the Bulldogs with 20 points and nine rebounds on Friday night, as he looked every bit worthy of his Preseason First Team All-Big East honor.
Princeton hasn’t played a game yet this season, but return some key pieces from their 23-7 NCAA Tournament team last year, including Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year Myles Stephens. Ivy League Player of the Year Spencer Weisz graduated, though, so it will be interesting to see how the Tigers replace his production.
In short, Butler should be able to pull this game out. The Bulldogs are nearly unbeatable in nonconference games at Hinkle, despite Princeton being one of the best and brightest mid-majors out there.
Prediction: Butler 78, Princeton 64
