The St. John’s Red Storm are currently hosting a class of 2018 shooting guard from Louisiana. Greg Williams of Lafayette Christian Academy (Lafayette, La.) is on the St. John’s campus this weekend for an official visit.
Williams had scheduled this visit last month, as per Zach Braziller of the New York Post. Also last month, head coach Chris Mullin visited with him, so it’s fair to say the Johnnies have him regarded as a priority in this cycle.
247Sports Composite has Greg Williams ranked 159th overall in the country. He also ranks 37th among all shooting guards, and as a Top 5 player in the state of Louisiana. He ranks fourth in the state, behind the likes of Ja’Vonte Smart (LSU Tigers), Josh LeBlanc (Georgetown Hoyas) and Jared Butler (Alabama Crimson Tide).
For whatever it’s worth, 247Sports’ Andrew Slater picked the Johnnies to land Williams in the Crystal Ball on Friday. It’s the only prediction to be made at this point. But this might be something to watch this weekend.
