Hunter Dickinson was not the only 2020 player to be offered by the Providence Friars on Tuesday. The Friars also offered his DeMatha Catholic teammate, Earl Timberlake Jr. The news of Timberlake’s offer from the Friars was reported by Rivals.com’s Corey Evans.

Timberlake hails from Upper Marlboro, Maryland. He originally attended Rock Creek Christian Academy before transferring to DeMatha Catholic this past offseason. He’s listed at 6-foot-5, 190 lbs. as he enters his sophomore season. Future150 lists his athleticism, rebounding, shot blocking and footwork as some of his strengths right now. On the AAU circuit, Timberlake currently plays for Team Takeover in the Nike EYBL.

The Friars are not the only Big East program to be in on the Maryland wing. The Georgetown Hoyas offered him way back in May. The Rhode Island Rams, one of the Friars’ primary rivals, are also in on him, too. The Virginia Tech Hokies, Kansas State Wildcats and Penn State Nittany Lions have also offered him to this point.

Earl Timberlake Jr. is a Top 50 player in the class of 2020, ranking 48th overall at this juncture via 247Sports Composite. He ranks as the 11th-best small forward in the country in the class and third-best player in the state of Maryland. The aforementioned Dickinson and four-star point guard Elijah Wood of St. Andrews Episcopal are the only two ahead of him to this point.

Timberlake and Dickinson are the only two players Providence has open offers to for 2020 at this point.
