Gamblin’ Info

Butler is a 4-point favorite over Georgetown, according to OddsShark.com.

The Stakes

Butler looks to continue their momentum after defeating previously undefeated Villanova earlier in the week. Georgetown meanwhile aims to pull off a major upset and acquire their first conference win of the season. The Hoyas lead the all-time series between the two schools 5-3, but the ‘Dawgs swept the season series last year.

Inside the Numbers

For Georgetown, they hope to have Rodney Pryor locked in and ready early. His 19.8 points per game is tied for first within the conference. L.J. Peak comes in at second on the team in scoring with 15.6 points per game and his 3.4 assists per game lead the team.

The Hoyas also boast an average of 19.9 made free throws per game, a mark which ranks them tied for 13th nationally.

For Butler, the team is currently 8-0 on the season when they out-rebound their opponent. Off that, the Bulldogs out-rebounded Villanova 33-24 during their last contest.

In the two games against Georgetown last season, Kelan Martin averaged 26.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. In their last game against Villanova, Butler was a perfect 15-for-15 from the free throw line and outscored Villanova’s bench 25-6.

That bench scoring performance was highlighted by 13 points from Kethan Savage who will be making his return to Washington D.C. after transferring from George Washington University.
