Villanova is opening as a 12-point favorite according to OddsShark.
Things To Watch
- Villanova lost to Butler. It wasn’t exactly the biggest shock, seeing as Butler has been historically good at home and they’re very good this year, but still. #1 Villanova lost. This is the “come out pissed and beat the other team out of the gym” game for them after that loss. Marquette needs to be ready for a fired-up Villanova squad.
- Marquette lost to Seton Hall in one of the worst shot-themselves-in-the-foot ways last Sunday. How are they dealing with that? Are they feeling defeated or have they bounced back? Will their bad shooting night against Hall carry over to this game or will they right the ship?
- Josh Hart and Jalen Brunson are both pretty good at basketball. Can Haanif Cheatham and Markus Howard lock down both of these guys or will one (or both) run wild against a Marquette defense that has looked shaky at times this year?
