Chicago Bulls guard/forward Jimmy Butler has been named a starter for the Eastern Conference in the 2017 NBA All-Star Game.

The ex-Marquette Golden Eagle has now been named to the All-Star team three straight years, but this is his first appearance as a starter.

Butler is leading the Bulls in scoring with 24.8 points per game this season, and is fourth amongst Eastern Conference players.

Butler joins Kyrie Irving, DeMar DeRozan, LeBron James, and Giannis Antetokounmpo as the Eastern Conference’s starting lineup.

The 2017 NBA All-Star game will take place February 19, 2017 at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.
