According to an instagram post by the point guard from Philly, the national assist leader out of Creighton, Maurice Watson Jr., is sidelined for the remainder of the year, ending his basketball career at Creighton.

In Monday’s game against Xavier, the senior point guard’s knee collided with Edmond Sumner’s, hobbling him, then was dealt another blow when he scored on a layup and landed forcefully on his left leg, sending him tumbling to the floor.
Watson finishes the year with 8.8 assists per game, 13.4 PPG, yet his impact on the team as a leader will truly be missed.
