After a relatively long wait, SMU transfer Harry Froling announced his commitment to the Marquette Golden Eagles.
Froling, a 6’11” center from Australia played sparingly for Tim Jankovich’s Mustangs before deciding to transfer. He was reportedly down to Marquette and Oregon State. He’ll be in attendance for Marquette’s game with Seton Hall Wednesday night, per Steve Wojciechowski.

Froling will appeal to try and play the entire 2017-18 season instead of just the second semester. If his appeal is denied, he’ll be available for the Golden Eagles to start Big East play, at the latest.
Either way, his arrival will help soften the blow of Luke Fischer’s impending graduation.
Marquette now has two scholarships remaining for 2017-18.
