As mentioned above, both the Bulldogs and Friars come into this game 0-1 in Big East play. The Bulldogs fell to St. John’s Thursday night in New York City, while Providence opened conference play with a loss to Xavier in Cincinnati.

The Friars also dropped their final contest of the nonconference season to Boston College.

Generally, the Bulldogs don’t struggle too much at Hinkle Fieldhouse. That changes when they play Providence, as the Bulldogs’ lone win over the Friars was in March 2015 at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center.

If you like head to head scoring battles, keep an eye on Rodney Bullock and Kelan Martin. Two of the Big East’s leading scorers, Bullock and Martin will both be looking to get their teams on track.
