When Roosevelt Jones went undrafted in June’s NBA Draft, everyone figured it was just a matter of time before he signed internationally or with the NBA D-League.
On Wednesday, that time arrived.

Jones has started the most games in Butler history, and is fourth in assists, fifth in rebounds, eighth in steals, and 11th in points.
In terms of potential landing spots for Jones, it is worth pointing out that Jones’ former Butler teammate, Ronald Nored, is the coach of the D-League’s Long Island Nets. Additionally, Brad Stevens, who coached Jones at Butler, now coaches the Boston Celtics.
The D-League draft date has yet to be announced, but it was at the end of October last year, so that’s likely the timeframe again this year.
