USA Basketball might’ve slumped a little bit in the early stages of their matchup against Venezuela on Monday night but off the back of 17 points off the bench by Chicago Bulls forward and former Marquette Golden Eagles star Jimmy Butler, Team USA would win in yet another blowout by the score of 113-69.

Butler was one of five players to score in double figures in the rout on Monday. Carmelo Anthony (14), Kevin Durant (16), DeAndre Jordan (14) and Paul George (20) were the other major contributors in the points department. George and Durant may have had the best outings of anybody as the duo combined to shoot 11-for-12 from the field with Durant not missing once from the floor.

Jordan also went 6-for-7 along with George, as Team USA would shoot a gaudy 55.4 percent from the field, 40.9 percent from the 3-point line, and 81.3 percent from the free throw line.

Former Villanova Wildcats guard Kyle Lowry scored five points on a 1-for-4 mark from the field and was 3-for-4 from the free throw line. Lowry dished out eight assists, picked up two steals, five rebounds, and committed only one turnover.

The United States will play Australia next on Wednesday.
