Hey everybody! My name is Marisa Miller, and I am a brand new writer here at BECB. I am an incoming sophomore at easily the best school in the Big East, Butler University. Currently at Butler, I am the Sports Co-Editor of The Butler Collegian, the student-run newspaper on campus, and I am a manager for the women's basketball team. While back home from school this summer, I have also been working as a sports correspondent for the Times of Northwest Indiana.
The answer to your question is yes. I have zero free time and rarely sleep.
Some things about me that are important to know:
1. Other than the world of sports, my other TV interests exclusively include the Food Network. If this whole journalism thing doesn't pan out, I'm probably going to become a wildly successful chef and win an episode of Chopped.
2. No, I have no idea why JoJo sent Luke home on The Bachelorette. I don't care if Jordan's brother is Aaron Rodgers, unless she is somehow getting Packers season tickets out of the deal, he should have been gone a long time ago.
3. Don't ask me about One Direction. Don't even say their names in front of me. I'm still fragile after the announcement of the break.
4. I order chicken tenders and french fries eight out of 10 times when I eat at a restaurant. (Obviously with ranch too.)
I think that is about it. I look forward to this opportunity of writing for BECB, and I hope to provide my own personal insight into the happenings in the Big East.
And now I leave you with the Roosevelt Jones buzzer beater from the final seconds of the game against Cincinnati from last season because he just transcends Butler basketball and represents everything it stands for.
