2017 wing guard Christian David debuted in US prep basketball in the Fall of 2016 and it didn’t take long for the Canadian import to impress high major coaches across the country. Upon arrival at Vermont Academy, David held offers from Illinois, Baylor, Oregon, St. Bonaventure and Providence. Before the 2015-16 even began, David picked up more offers from Old Dominion, Creighton, DePaul, Duquesne and Texas Tech. More offers would come his way from the likes of Florida, Seton Hall, Virginia Tech, Miami, Pittsburgh and Butler. Some of these offers even came in after he suffered a torn ACL in the NEPSAC AA Championship game, an injury that has kept him out of Spring and Summer grassroots basketball. David was scheduled to run with famed Nike program CIA Bounce on the EYBL circuit before the injury. On Tuesday, David announced his final list of 5 schools and two Big East programs found their way onto his list:

David, who is ranked 92nd in the nation according to 247Sports’ composite national ranking, has taken one official visit to Creighton back in mid-June and Adam Zagoria is reporting that David plans to “take one or two more in August.”

David averaged 13 ppg and 6 rpg for his Vermont Academy team that would go on to win the NEPSAC AA Championship for the first time in school history despite his injury occurring in the opening moments of that March 6th game against Cushing Academy.
