According to CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein, DePaul added another piece for next season, picking up former Ohio State guard Austin Grandstaff. He'll be eligible to play in December with a waiver but will suit up in the 2017-18 campaign if it's not granted.
The 6-foot-5 Grandstaff originally transferred to Oklahoma last January but recently decided to move on from the program, following their pickup of Jordan Shepherd. Last season, Grandstaff suited up in a Buckeyes' uniform for 10 games and scored 4.4 points per game in 11 minutes per contest.
According to 247Sports, he was the No. 14 shooting guard in the 2015 recruiting class and the No. 54 player overall. As a senior at Rockwall High School, located in Texas, Grandstaff produced 29 points per game and shot 33 percent from the perimeter.
Grandstaff will join Devin Gage, Brandon Cyrus, Al Eichelberger, Levi Cook, Tre'Darius McCallum and Chris Harrison-Docks as the fresh faces on the Blue Demons' 2016-17 roster.
