Robert Morris transfer Rodney Pryor commits to Georgetown

Robert Morris University transfer Rodney Pryor committed to continuing his basketball career at Georgetown University on Sunday night. The news first came to us from the folks at Hoya Nation, and was later corroborated by the man himself just north of the hour of Midnight.

The former Colonial spent two seasons with the RMU program before deciding to make the jump to Washington D.C. to play for John Thompson III and the Hoyas who will be looking to bounce back after a disappointing season in the Big East.

While there are noticeable declines in ORtg, his points average did get a slight uptick and his DRtg improved by almost five whole points, which would indicate a step in the right direction. His offensive production might have taken a slight hit from his first year to his second but he seemed to still find ways to contribute whilst playing in six less games.

The move boosts Georgetown's profile when it comes to guards. They recently picked up JUCO transfer Jonathan Mulmore and will also have 2016 commit Jagan Mosely coming into the fold as well, the lone high school recruit in the Class of 2016. So, that gives the Hoyas Mosely, Pryor, Mulmore, and two players left standing from last year's roster in the form of Tre Campbell and Kaleb Johnson.

We'll see if Pryor can make the kind of impact he's capable of in the Big East this coming year for what will be his final hurrah in college basketball.
