On Tuesday morning, the Big East Conference announced its award winners for the 2014-15 women's basketball regular season.

DePaul Blue Demons superstar Brittany Hrynko is the conference's Player of the Year, becoming the first Blue Demon ever to net the award. The senior guard led the Big East in scoring, amassing 20.3 points per game and 21.9 during league play, as she helped DePaul to their second consecutive Big East regular season championship.

Hrynko was also named as the Big East's Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

Georgetown Hoyas guard Dorothy Adomako, the conference's preseason player of the year, lived up to the hype as she was named as the Big East Freshman of the Year. The 2013 Gatorade Women's Basketball Player of the Year, Adomako collected 14.3 points and 6.2 rebounds throughout Big East play and joins the ranks of many Hoyas before her to receive this honor. Per the conference, this is the fifth time that a Georgetown Hoya has won Big East Freshman of the Year, and third time since the 2009-10 season.

Meanwhile, Seton Hall Pirates head coach Tony Bozzella became the first Pirates coach since Phyllis Mangina to win the Big East Coach of the Year award. The Pirates tied the Blue Demons at season's end, finishing the season at 26-4 with a 15-3 record in league play, holding a share of the conference's regular season title. It marks the first time since the 1995-96 season that they have had at least a share of the regular season championship and, per the conference's press release, will go into the Big East Tournament as the No. 1 seed for the first time ever.
