St. John's freshman Marcus LoVett, Jr. has been ruled a partial qualifier by the NCAA, according to Zach Braziller of the New York Post.
Marcus LoVett Jr. has been ruled a partial qualifier, per release. Huge blow to #sjubb

What that means is that LoVett, the Red Storm's top recruit this season, can practice with the team, but is not allowed to play in any games.
This news certainly comes as a crushing blow to an already-thin St. John's team who lost their top six scorers from last season. LoVett was set to be a day one starter, and a focal point of the offense.
