New Jersey's Kevin Marfo, currently attending Worcester Academy in Massachusetts, is set to announce his college of choice on Friday.
The news broke on Wednesday that Marfo had cut down his list to three and one of the schools in play happens to be Providence College of the Big East Conference.

So it goes, PC will be vying for Marfo's services, as well as fellow New England school Boston College and George Washington University as well.
Marfo is a 6-foot-8, 235-pound power forward who is a three-star recruit per ESPN. He ranks seventh in his state, 42nd in the region, and 29th at his position per ESPN's recruiting service. He currently plays for the BABC (Boston Amateur Basketball Club) AAU team, where he amassed 11.3 points and 8.8 rebounds per game this past season.

Marfo told SNY's ace recruiting analyst Adam Zagoria what he thought on each of the three schools that are left in play. Below, you can find those statements, as he speaks highly of each, including Providence:
Boston College: "Great academics and a young team. The coaching staff is motivated to change the culture of the program."Providence: "Winning culture. The team is working hard to bring back another Big East title."
GW: "Winning culture and mature team. They are looking to erupt in the Atlantic 10."
If Marfo indeed decides to elect to play for Ed Cooley and the Friars, he will be the second player to pledge for PC in the Class of 2016. The Friars got a verbal commitment from point guard Maliek White back on September 27, a big hit for Cooley as they will look to replace superstar Kris Dunn down the line at that position.
With then-freshman Ben Bentil playing at the four a lot down the stretch last year, Marfo would likely play out of the rotation at first behind Bentil who will be a junior when Marfo would arrive on campus. This would give the Friars some sizable depth at that position with incoming freshman Quadree Smith playing at that position as well as redshirt sophomore Rodney Bullock.
Per VerbalCommits, Marfo is the only power forward that they are looking at in the Class of 2016. It might be fair to say that it has a lot to do with the fact that they have Smith coming on campus and two youngsters still able to perform at the '4.'
Thus, we shall wait to see what happens on Friday with Kevin Marfo. At this point in time, BC has one recruit in the Class of 2016 -- that being three-star point guard Ty Graves -- and George Washington, meanwhile, has two in the form of three-star point guard Darnell Rogers and unrated power forward Collin Smith. Marfo would be a welcomed addition to either of the three schools in play. Time will tell which one will make the big splash.
