Tyler Lewis Transfers to Butler

After a frustrating season, Bulldogs look to add Big East talent.

USA TODAY Sports

After losing four scholarship players to transfers over the course of the season, the Butler Bulldogs have a lot of room to retool. The first addition for Brandon Miller's team is former NC State point guard Tyler Lewis. The former four-star recruit was offered by Baylor, Iowa St., and Wake Forest before committing to the Wolfpack his junior year of high school.

Before choosing Butler, Lewis told the Associated Press that he also looked at Purdue, Xavier, Charlotte, Gonzaga and UAB. Lewis will have to sit out a season but looks to return as the Bulldogs' starting point guard once rising senior Alex Barlow graduates.
