The Big East was 2-1 in hoops on Dec. 7. The No. 4 Louisville Cardinals and the DePaul Blue Demons were victorious while the Rutgers Scarlet Knights couldn't complete a second half comeback against Princeton.
Louisville 90, IUPUI 60: The Cardinals' Chris Smith reached 1,000 points in his Louisville career in the win last night. He finished with 19 points. DePaul 69, Loyola (IL) 58: Loyola had a monster second half behind Walt Gibler's game-high 29 points but the Ramblers couldn't make up the deficit against DePaul after only scoring 17 points in the first half. Moses Morgan scored 13 points in 13 minutes to lead DePaul. Jamee Crockett, Krys Faber and Jeremiah Kelly also reached double figures in scoring for the Blue Demons. Princeton 59, Rutgers 57: Ian Hummer paced the Tigers with 21 points. Princeton held off a furious rally by the Scarlet Knights in the second half for the win.
