Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

The 2014 National Player of the Year is headed north to The Windy City according to reports.

It appeared that Creighton forward Doug McDermott was going to be headed to the Denver Nuggets after they selected him with the No. 11 pick in the 2014 NBA Draft.

In the words of the immortal Lee Corso, "Not so fast my friend!"

According to a report from Sam Amick of USA TODAY, and then a report from ESPN College Basketball Insider Jeff Goodman, Doug McDermott is headed to the Chicago Bulls.

The report was announced on air by Goodman on the NBA Draft telecast, as the No. 16 and 19 picks from Chicago will belong to Denver now.

The trade was made official by NBA Commissioner Adam Silver on the NBA Draft telecast.
