Adam Zagoria, owner of the fantastic ZagsBlog.com site and Mike Waters of the Post Standard got together and shared their individual choice for series of Big East awards for the 2011-2012 season. Both discuss their respective choices for Big East Coach of the Year, Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Most Improved, and Sixth Man of the Year. They didn't agree on all of the awards, but it's still a very good discussion of what has been a downright odd season in the Big East.

After last night's win at Louisville, it might be time for everyone to give Stan Heath more consideration for Big East Coach of the Year. He played much of the season with at least one key player injured and managed to get the team in the right frame of mind by the time conference play started that they have now won 12 conference games and are almost assuredly an NCAA Tournament team. Still, it's hard to argue the job both Boeheim and Buzz Williams have done this year.
