For their dominating performances this weekend, Syracuse receiver Alec Lemon, Rutgers linebacker Khaseem Greene, and Connecticut punt returner Nick Williams were named Big East players of the week.

Lemon had nine receptions for 176 yards and two touchdowns to key Syracuse’s 45-26 win against No. 11/10 Louisville, handing the Cardinals their first loss of the season. His two touchdowns came as part of a 21-0 Syracuse run in the second quarter, including a 13-yard catch that gave the Orange the lead for good at 17-10. Lemon holds Syracuse’s career receptions record (184) and he leads all active BIG EAST players in career receptions and touchdown receptions (16).

Greene had a game- and career-high 22 tackles to lead a stout Rutgers defense in a 28-7 win against Army. The total is the fourth-highest in a game by an FBS player this season, the third-best in school history and it ranks fifth on the BIG EAST’s all-time single-game chart. Greene led a defense that limited Army to just seven points and 252 yards of offense.
