An Email From UConn President Susan Herbst
Big East Coast Bias and seemingly just about every other media outlet in the USA received the following message from Connecticut president Susan Herbst (we should note it wasn't sent by Herbst herself).
The past several days have magnified the period of instability that exists today in the world of college athletics. I want to say thank you to all of our loyal supporters and fans of UConn and our athletic programs for their patience during this time.
Please know that we will always do what is in the best interests for the University of Connecticut.
We remain committed to our ideals and principals in intercollegiate athletics and will continue to achieve excellence academically and athletically.
After all that unity talk from commissioner John Marinatto last night, we are still seeing that certain schools are still thinking about themselves first. We should remind readers that Herbst did not attend last night's meeting at the Grand Hyatt in New York City but sent her chief of staff instead.
Now we wait for West Virginia's statement later today.

Well...
Anyone that isn’t looking out for themselves “deserves” whatever comes to them.
I'd still guess
Louisville to B12, WVU to SEC, and UConn to ACC are extremely likely
Rutgers or ND to ACC is likely
Cinci and/or TCU to B12 is possible.
If just what I think is extremely likely happens, BE football is done; there aren’t four schools to add to Rutgers, Cinci, TCU, and USF that will make an AQ conference, and while Cinci and Rutgers just might be okay in a basketball-oriented non-AQ (i.e. add Memphis, Temple, UMass, and possibly a few other CUSA East or MAC schools) rather than going to CUSA, TCU and USF would be happier in CUSA than in something like that (or in TCU’s case, returning to the MWC).
Rumor is BC is blocking UConn to ACC

BC is not sufficient
They can’t block UConn alone, and it’s completely crazy to block them for anything but spite (and while hating UConn is perfectly understandable, I’d prefer that hate be expressed on the field in conference games; if we can’t keep Georgetown, then we certainly ought to keep UConn).
Sure they can't block UConn alone
but the ACC looks like they freaked out now that everybody else has calmed down. They are fine with 14. They said so themselves when I called them. Without a home run get, why should they expand?
