DePaul Beats AS Monaco 80-70

The DePaul Blue Demons have made the Big East proud with a successful 4-0 preseason tour of France. The last victim on the trip was AS Monaco. DePaul won the game on August 20 over Monaco 80-70.

DePaul's Cleveland Melvin and Jeremiah Kelly tied for the team lead for the game with 21 points.

Melvin and Kelly were the only players to score in double figures in all four games. Melvin missed a double-double by two rebounds against Monaco. However, he averaged a double-double during the four games with 23.8 points per game and 11 rebounds per game. Kelly averaged 15.3 points per game.

As in yesterday's game against L'Azuréa, the Blue Demons were in control at halftime with a 45-31 lead. Monaco made a run in the third quarter but couldn't get the score closer than a seven point margin.

DePaul shot .544 from the field and recorded 14 assists on their 25 made field goals. The Blue Demons return to Chicago on Sunday.
