TCU 2012 Big East Schedule Released

One of the nuggets that came out of 2011 Big East Media Day was that the TCU 2012 Big East schedule was released (UPDATE: We fixed the schedule as it was wrong. There will be no trip to Morgantown for TCU in 2012. We blame Krag1N1 for everybody getting the wrong information earlier).

Mengus took a shot at guessing what the schedule would be back in June. He said that TCU would face Connecticut, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Syracuse on the road and that the Horned Frogs would host Cincinnati, Louisville, South Florida, West Virginia. Here's how the schedule actually shook out.

TCU will have a home schedule of:

Cincinnati

Louisville

South Florida

West Virginia

Their away schedule will consist of:

Pittsburgh

Connecticut

Rutgers

Syracuse

Star-divide

I am already circling those TCU games at Pittsburgh and against West Virginia as games that will likely decide the Big East in 2012.

We can't wait to see how the Horned Frogs will do in the Big East in their first year so expect to see our NCAA Football 12 simulations for 2011 and 2012 soon.

In the meantime, you can also check out how the media projected the order of finish for this year at Big East Media Day.

Interesting

Guess that means that all schedules will change

Dante beat me to it

But how is that possible? It should be as simple as adding TCU in to the already established schedules. Every team is either missing a home game or missing a road game. TCU should have just been placed where needed.

McMurphy at CBS is now reporting:

Cincy, UL, USF, WVU at home; Pitt, UConn, RU, Syracuse on the road in 2012

If that's true, dang

I hoped the game against WVU would be in Morgantown.

I must say

That Marianatto REALLY is doubting the progress of Louisville, Syracuse, WVU, and USF. It looks like he’s putting the meat of the Frogs’ schedule at home.

What a Joke. Predicting 2012 Already.

The USF game will likely determine whether USF repeats as BE champ. Nuff said.

are you serious?

Thats a lot of talk for a team thats never won the Big East and has a QB this year that will still underperform and be inefficient. I’ll believe the hype once you win something.

That looks tight!

This year TCU schedule HIGHLIGHTS consist of BYU, Baylor, SMU, Airforce, and Boise. [In no small part thanks to Tech backing out of coming to Fort Worth because they’re chicken.]

Next year we have the above schedule, plus home dates with OU and Virginia, and trip to SMU. That’s a fine schedule by any standard, and is comparatively awesome.

Also, USF will not be repeating as anything other than college ball’s most hideous November chokers for the fifth consecutive year.

Loving Pitt's home schedule in 2012

TCU, WVU, and Virginia Tech, plus up and coming UCF and Louisville.

Dang. That is a sweet home sched.

If Todd Graham hasn’t bolted for Clemson at that point, Pitt could make some waves.
