Pittsburgh on Wisconsin Football Scheduling Radar
Wisconsin athletic director Barry Alvarez offered no specific details but did admit that the Badgers will attempt to add Kansas State and Pittsburgh to future non-conference football schedules.
There have been communications with the schools but no deals have been made. Why play Pittsburgh, a team Wisconsin has only met on the field three times?

Alvarez grew up in Pennsylvania and is known to have an affinity for Pitt
I guess we know that Wisconsin isn't just upset that the Panthers landed former Wisconsin running back Zach Brown.
Alvarez might have to wait a little while to see the matchup happen. While Wisconsin has some holes to fill in their near future schedules, Pitt's dance card looks pretty full from now until 2015.
Pittsburgh leads the all-time series 3-0. The Panthers won the last matchup 13-11 in 1967 at Wisconsin. Pitt also won at home 21-0 in 1937 and 26-6 at Wisconsin in 1938.
I would enjoy seeing these two teams play each other. However, the only way I want Pitt to play Wisconsin is if they get the Badgers to agree to a home and home series. What do you think? Should Pittsburgh make a deal and resume their domination over Wisconsin?

Barry Alvarez is a little girl's blouse
I still haven’t forgiven Wisconsin for making a song and dance about TCU refusing a one-and-done offer on a date when we already had a game scheduled, acting like we’d chickened out. I’d be surprsed to see the Badgers play a team that might beat them. UNLV is about the toughest non-conf foe those guys usually go for. Hope it happens, and Go Panthers [!] if it does.
I think Pitt’s recent policy of home-and-homes with Big Ten teams (sparty, Iowa, with PSU and Wisconsin in the future) is great for the fans and the university.
