Some Thoughts:

This post is up later in the week than usual because a) basketball started and Pat was busy with that, b) the Penn State scandal kind of killed my will to write about sports. You won't see Penn State in our poll this week either. We're not trying to use this scandal to make a name for ourselves or attract attention by doing this. We just didn't want to rank Penn State as long as Joe Paterno remained the head coach.
LSU and Bama might not have impressed you. We disagree with putting Alabama at #3. They lost. The Tide will have their shot to move back up as the season wraps up. Oklahoma State, Boise State and Stanford won and moved up accordingly.
The big winners for us this week were Michigan State and Wisconsin. The big losers were Nebraska, Michigan and Kansas State. They could all be on the move again this week.
Our sole Big East team on our ballot is Cincinnati and the Bearcats are all the way up to 11. While plenty of people want to focus on how a four loss team could win the Big East, we remind you that Cincinnati could finish the season 11-1.
